Update on last week's post about the Detroit Zoo Millage: On Tuesday, August 5, it passed in all three counties: Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb! The requested funding, which will cost the average homeowner about $10/year, will give the Zoo (which is owned by the City of Detroit and managed by the Detroit Zoological Society) about 33% of the operating funds it needs for the next several years!
