Mass Walkout @ Michigan Law School Graduation #LGBT

The keynote speaker at the 2011 University of Michigan Law School Graduation was anti-gay U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH). Why, except that he is a U-M alum, was the question asked by many.
A gay-rights group passed out rainbow ribbons and a protest sheet to those enteringHill Auditorium, asking for a massive but dignified walkout when Sen. Portman spoke.
Sen. Portman was the 2nd of three speakers, and when he was introduced, at least 1/3 of the audience and of the graduates silently walked out; returning only after Senator Portman finished his speech. It kept the ceremony dignified for the sake of the grads, but made the point that many support gay rights and are against the philosophies of Senator Portman.
The 3rd speaker, a Law School graduate, explained that he and many others wore rainbow tassels in support of their LGBT classmates.
It was awesome.

Giving Credit Where Credit Due

P938

Right after 9-11, former President Bush went into Afghanistan looking for Osama Bin Laden. However, shortly after getting us into an unpaid for war, Mr. Bush quickly moved on to his REAL target: Iraq and Saddam Hussein. The fact that neither had anything to do with 9-11 was irrelevant. By 2004, Bush admitted that he "didn't really think about bin Laden much". By then, of course, Bush had started another unnecessary and unpaid for war in Iraq.
So now that bin Laden has been killed, who are most of the Republicans and even some mainstream media trying to credit? Bush of course.
Let's be clear: the ONLY President who planned, oversaw, and completed the killing of bin Laden was #44: Barack Hussein Obama. George W. Bush had NOTHING to do with this. He deserves NO credit whatsoever. NONE.
President Obama promised he would get bin Laden and he did. PROMISE KEPT.
