I'm shocked and heartened that Sonny is still alive and kicking! Have lived in Chicago for the last 35 years but remember oh, so well, the fun we had watching and listening to Sonny Eliot on Channel 4 back in the day. There has been no one like him here in the Windy City (although we do have Tom Skilling, whose forte is his thorough knowledge of the subject). But NO ONE could do weather like Sonny could, and apparently, still can. Blessings to him for the blessings he's given to Detroit, and to those of us who were fortunate enough to experience him and his craft.
