Things to Do Thursday: The Color Purple

"The Color Purple" is back in Detroit! This Broadway show, executive-produced by Oprah (Twitter: @Oprah!), has returned to Detroit. There are still several shows scheduled through this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by Alice Walker and the blockbuster movie (which was nominated for eleven Academy Awards but didn't win a single one!) by Steven Spielberg, this musical appears again at Detroit's Fox Theatre in the Downtown Foxtown Entertainment District.
