"Tuesday Tidbits": Riverwalk adds new Cafe and Carousel

We know you're probably at work right now, focusing diligently on this week's tasks and reports or simply stuck in an enclosed space reading this wonderful blog : ) trying to find something to do. The city has added a Cafe and a Carousel making the Detroit River Walk THE place to visit. Whether you're going for a local romantic get away or a summer activity with the kids, no matter how busy you are, you must take the time to enjoy. 

RiverWalk Cafe and Cullen Family Carousel Hours (Rivard Plaza)

• Now until May 31, 2010 (Memorial Day Weekend) - Fri., Sat., Sun. - 11 am to 8 pm.
• The Gabriel Richard Park location will offer limited hours, primarily on weekends and special occasions.

DID YOU KNOW? Only a few years ago the Detroit River Walk didn't exist and hardly anyone knew what a blog was?

Last year we blogged about The Wheelhouse Detroit, a bicycle shop that offers rentals, retail, service and tours. Keep up to date at our blog: wheelhousedetroit.wordpress.com. Wheelhouse is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Although the RiverWalk Cafe and Carousel opened this, you may not have had the pleasure of exploring this constantly developing jewel of Detroit. Why not take the time to go this week?

7 days a week from 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
