Staycation in Detroit: Museum Adventure Pass

In today's tough economic times, many people are choosing to take their vacations not only closer to home, but at home, in their own hometowns! When you stay home and have your vacation, that's called a "staycation"!

Our Thursday series of posts have been highlighting fun and exciting places to do in and around Detroit for your own staycation! A great program, run jointly with the Detroit Public Library System, other local libraries, and many museums in the Detroit Metroplex is the Museum Adventure Pass. Just visit your local library, and you can receive FREE passes for two or four persons for local museums!

There are sixteen museums that have "Admit Four" passes, and nine museums that have "Admit Two" passes. But you are going to have to hurry, this program ends on October 24, 2008. The program has some guidelines and restrictions, including the program being only for registered borrowers at the participating library. But you were planning to get a library card anyway, weren't you?

This program is sponsored by Macy's (you know, "Hudson's") as well as several others. Save money, save gas, and have lots of fun right here at home! See you at the Library and the Museum!
